Peach Melba

Today i bravely went to college without any false nails, tips, varnish on. This morning i popped this Barry M Nail Paint in my bag just incase i got bored. I hadn't tried it yet and was rather excited to do so. 11 o clock arrived and i found myself sat staring into space with nothing to do so i decided to quickly paint my nails.
Considering i painted them in approzimately five minutes i did a rather good job. Yes i should of filed my nails beforehand but hey ho!

Excuse my fake tanned fingers, oops! Overall i think the colour is really pretty. It's such a bold colour but fresh looking. I wish i'd discovered it early summer. However with it being such a light colour I found one coat wasn't enough so i roughly gave them a second coat and shabam, finished :-).

Are there any other Barry M Nail Paints you would recommend? I'm a big fan of Barry M they have some real cute colours.

Hope you like. x

Nail Tips

Recently i have been wearing nail tips alot! I saw a box of nail tips in boots and thought i would try them out even though i hadn't a clue where to start. The nail tips were plain but very white, a little shiny but nice and clean looking. There are 12 different sized tips in the box so there is a nice range of sizes for you to choose from! There were glue and instructions attached with the box so i followed the instructions and began from there. Now i am addicted to these, they last about 10 days without any falling off. To get them off i just soak them in some warm water for a while and away they come. I have gained a lot of wear out of these and will continue to purchase when i fancy having some lush white tips!
Here is a pic of them on!

To achieve this look i just simply prepared the sizes that fit my nail and then i placed some glue on my nail and tip and then applied and held down for 10 seconds. They stuck really quickly and then i cut them to my preffered size and filed them evenly.
I was told you can by a 'filler' .
Have any of you tried these out or have any tips?

MAC

This has got to be the best bronzer i've ever used. Definitely the perfect colour for my skin tone too. It's very buildable and can be used anywhere on your face without giving that 'dirty' look. It gives a really matte finish without any shine atall. Sometimes i even blend it into my neck make sure it's really even. I'm really sad i've hit pan on it already but i will definitely be repurchasing!
Anyone else love this product or recommend any other good MAC bronzers?

Trip to the Trafford Centre

So christmas is on it's way and we all need our winter wardrobes at the ready don't we? Me and my boyfriend decided to take a trip to the Trafford Centre on Thursday and it really was a lovely day out. We enjoyed a lovely Nandos then hit the shops!
Here is a little preview of some of the things i bought.
I was looking for something nice and warm for this winter weather we have ahead of us so when i spotted this topshop number it had to be purchased. £26 was quite the bargain .
As you can see from the above pic i am wearing the new top i got with a quilted gillet i purchased from Republic for £29.99! I really love it and wore it yesterday when i went to watch the boyfriend play in the first round of the FA cup, it was a chilly day but i was uber warm in my new winter clothes and it turned to be a good day as his team won 4-1 putting them through to the next round.

Grey top - Topshop £26
Quilted Gillet - Republic £29.99
Jeans - River Island £30
Headband - New look £4.99
Scarf - Topshop

You can't see in the above picture the new shoes i got which were such a good bargain for just £18. I have to share them with you all.
These for me are just the perfect winter boots and i am sure i will get lots of wear out of them.

Here is a close up of how i did my makeup yesterday.
Foundation - Revlon Colourstay
Blush - Benefit Coralista
Bronzer - MAC bronzing powder
Mascara - Benefit Badgal
Lipstick - Rimmel London pink blush

Have any of you started your winter shopping? What did you purchase? :) x

Tan reviews

Through the summer i tried a couple of tans so here are the reviews for all you chicks who love to fake it like me :).
Firstly i tried this Fake Bake Flawless Liquid. I did my research on it and then headed to Debenhams the next day to purchase it. I think it was priced at £21.99 which i think is a little expensive but i was hoping it was worth every penny. That night i got a shower and exfoliated my skin then began to prepare it. When i opened the box i expected to find just a bottle of tan but much to my surprise there was a Fake Bake tanning mitt and gloves included. So i put on the gloves and mitt and started to apply it, i found it was really dark but applied really well for a liquid tan. After covering my whole body in this tan i waited about half an hour before getting dressed and getting into bed. It wasn't sticky atall which was a plus.
Advantages -
  •  Dried quickly
  • No funny smell
  • Clear tanning guide
  • Tanning mitt and gloves included
  • Olive looking tan after 1 application
  • After 2 applications a deep brown tan
  • Tan stayed for approximately 7 days
  • Didn't go patchy and faded evenly
NO DISADVANTAGES!

This is one of the best tans i have EVER used and i will continue to use it. Recommended for anyone who wants a natural medium to dark tan.

Here is a photo of me after two applications of the Flawless Liquid Fake Bake tan.

Later on in the summer (August) i decided to try another Fake Bake product but the Beyond Bronze mousse. This one was priced a bit cheaper at £12.99 in a shop called Bodycare. I can't say this one was as successful as the previous Fake Bake product i tried. This was very light but a lot of it seemed to come off in the shower so i found myself applying it as an instant before going out.
Advantages -
  •  Light tan for those who don't want to be dark
  • Dries quickly
  • No smell
  • Used well for instant tan
Disadvantages -
  • Majority comes off in the shower
  • Very light tan
  • Not a good build up tan
I used the Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Mousse for a party a few weeks ago and found it wasn't dark enough for my liking so i applied some instant tan by Creightons Bronze Ambition Glow n Go instant matte finish. This is an absolute bargain for last minute tan, priced at £1.99 in bodycare. This turned out really nice over the Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Mousse.
I have tried this without any tan on underneath and the results weren't very good but i think it's a useful product when needing an extra bit of tan before heading out.
This was the end result which i was rather pleased with. Apologies for the poor lighting!

Have any of you dolls tried these products? How did you find them?
I hope these reviews were helpful x

Summer has ended

As you all know the clocks went back lastnight so it's official, summer has ended. *cries*.  My summer was average to be honest. I did a few exciting things like took a trip to London. When i arrived home my sister went into labour and gave birth to a little girl which she named Lily Grace. She is a little beauty.

I took a trip to Wales to visit my boyfriend and his family which was nice and the weather was beautiful. Unfortunately i only got to wear my bikini once and that was when me and the family took a trip to oxford for some punting, the weather was scorching. So all in all not a great summer but i'm very excited for next years as me and the boyf have decided to go on holiday, bring it on!
